Duck House
|
Wood Duck Houses are most
successful when placed over water but can also be
place in woodland habitat up to half-a-mile from
open water and should be mounted on a post 6-8'
high with the entrance hole facing south or west.
Protecting previously used nests is very
important. Once successful, a female will nest in
the same house year after year. Our Wood
Duck Houses are handcrafted from one inch thick
eastern white pine and provide the proper
dimensions, ventilation & drainage for
nesting Wood Ducks. Wood shavings are included as
nesting material as well as literature about Wood
Ducks and the proper placement and maintenance of
the nest boxes. The Observation Wood Duck House opens easily for observation and clean-out. Plexiglas panel protects the nesting ducklings providing access for egg counting and replenishing wood chips. Comes with wood chips for nesting material & internal ladder for fledgling ducklings. Dimensions: 24-1/4"high x 11"wide x 15-1/2"deep The Observation Wood Duck House can be purchased at Shaw Creek Bird Supply and Coveside Bird Houses |
